Custom Wig Process

Online Consultation

We begin with a virtual consultation Zoom or Facetime—whatever works best for you. We’ll discuss all the options available to you for a custom piece and together we will create your dream hair. This is your opportunity to ask questions, share inspiration photos digitally, and tell us exactly what you’re looking for. We’ll provide detailed guidance on how to take accurate measurements and walk you through the process step-by-step. In addition to your measurements, we will explore design creation including cap style, color and cut. We allocate an entire hour for this extensive creation process. There is a $75 consultation fee, which will be fully deducted from the cost of your wig if you decide to purchase.

Taking Your Measurements

You’ll take precise measurements of your head at home, including circumference, front to back, ear to ear, and nape measurements. There are 6 measurements total per the diagram below. We suggest working with us during your video consultation if you are confused at all on how to take your measurements. That way we can walk you through the process. Please note: since measurements are taken by you at home, we cannot be responsible for fit issues that result from incorrectly taken measurements. We strongly encourage you to double-check all measurements and reach out if you have any questions before submitting your order.

Design Selection

Choose your preferred cap construction from our available options (lace top, silk top lace front, fully hand tied, or partially hand tied). Then, we’ll discuss length and style preferences. Send us inspiration photos digitally, or mail us a wig with the color you love, and our expert colorists will hand-paint a custom color that matches as close as possible to your vision. All wigs are made with premium remy human hair with a European texture, 50% double drawn and created in our low-density style for the most natural look.

Handcrafted Creation

Our skilled artisans begin the meticulous process of creating your custom wig based on the measurements you provided. Each hair strand is individually hand-tied to the lace base, creating natural movement and realistic growth patterns. This process typically takes 8-16 weeks, depending on the complexity of your order. We’ll keep you updated on progress throughout the creation process.

Quality and Measurement Check

Once the wig is finished, it is shipped to us for a quality and measurement check. We wash and air dry the hair to check quality and we meticulously measure the cap to ensure each measurement is as you ordered it. If there are any issues with either quality or measurements we will send it back to our overseas partner for additional work. Please note that in these instances additional time is needed to fix any issues of concern.

Customization

It’s now time to bring your vision to life! Our expert colorists will begin the process of custom coloring your wig based on your inspirational photos or wig mailed in to color match. Then our stylists will custom cut your piece based on your preferences. This process takes 30 to 45 days.

Total Process Timing

Getting a truly customized piece is an exercise in patience! The total time needed to create your masterpiece is approximately 3 to 4 months. This is the standard timing industry wide. We will keep you informed during every step of the process.

Delivery

When your wig is complete, it will be carefully packaged and shipped directly to your door. We are here for any assistance you might need after receiving your wig.
