Hair Origin: The Truth

When it comes to hair origin, here’s what really matters: texture, not origin.

We believe in complete honesty about hair origin. Our Premium Remy Human Hair comes from China, as do most wigs featuring luxury human hair despite claims to the contrary. Our hair has a European texture, meaning a fine denier and air dries straight without frizz. We provide clear information about our sourcing and processing so you can make informed decisions about your investment with confidence.

Our Coloring Process

We use permanent hair dye when coloring your custom masterpiece. This ensures longer-lasting, vibrant color that maintains its integrity longer than semi permanent dyes often used in the coloring of wigs. 

Virgin Hair for Brunette Colors

For brunette shades, we recommend using virgin (unprocessed) hair rather than starting from a blonde base, even though this means knots may be visible along the part line. Virgin hair is significantly stronger, more durable, and maintains its integrity far longer than pre-lightened hair. When dimension is needed, we lift only select sections of the hair rather than processing the entire piece, preserving the hair’s strength while achieving beautiful depth and highlights. While knots at the part line will show with virgin brunette hair, they’re easily concealed with powder, concealer, or strategic styling. We do offer bleaching at the hairline to create an undetectable front appearance, as this area is much harder to camouflage. Whether to bleach the hairline knots is entirely up to you as the client—some prefer maximum durability with unbleached knots, while others prioritize the seamless aesthetic of bleached knots. We’ll discuss your preferences during consultation to help you make the best choice for your lifestyle and styling needs.

What to Expect

Keep in mind, any hand-painted color will fade faster than factory processing. When it comes to hair, compromise is key. Nothing looks as good as hand-painted color, but with that comes a bit more maintenance.
